This sweet couple will marry at the White Sparrow in December and I am crazy excited that this will be my last wedding for 2017.
We all know by know that the White Sparrow barn is known for it’s unique design and it’s white everything!! Shooting engagement sessions here is like giving an artist a blank canvas and saying “here paint what you want.” There is no right or wrong here. Kristin and Chase give the perfect example of how to dress for an engagement session. Keeping it very elegant for their first outfit, which will make anyone rethink those workout goals! Seriously Kristin you look smokin hot in that Red dress! White walls and that pop of color is everything with these engagement portraits.
Her next outfit was a white dress from Free People and it was perfect! A casual outfit that showed off her personality and I love how it made their images look softer and dreamier. Her eyes, a beautiful shade of blue even matched her shoes and I loved how she chose little details that stood out! Spring weather is the best time for engagement sessions. The lush greens and blooms on trees begin to peek out and it added those nice tones to their portraits.
Being a Dallas Wedding Photographer I get to see many wedding venues, but the White Sparrow barn always leaves me with wanting to shoot here more and more.
Engagement sessions are so fun and I honestly think it is the one reason most of the couples who opt to do engagement portraits before have more fun with me on the wedding day. They already know what to expect and know I’m pretty laid back and make them feel very comfortable. I’ll never make a couple do something they normally wouldn’t do. There’s a little secret to engagement sessions too. Have fun, relax. Think of it as a date and I’m just the third wheel. A fluffy wheel with a camera 😉 Have a beer before your session even! The more relaxed you are, the more fun we have and the more creative I get to be!
Kristin and Chase you rocked your session and like I said, I cannot wait for your wedding here at the White Sparrow Barn in December.
