…..and we’re live!!! I am so glad you a here! I love my new website so much it deserved a blog post of it’s own so you could see it in it’s entirety! You’re probably wondering why I decided to change everything huh?! Well I’ve had my website since I began my journey a few years ago. With the help of no-one besides countless you-tube videos and the help of the hosting company I had before, I bought a website template and added everything myself. Was it easy? No! Was it me? No! It looked like every other photographer around. That’s what happens when you buy something generic and try to add a few things here and there to change it up. It wasn’t my brand and it wasn’t unique. This new website was designed with my fine art clients in mind. I focus on weddings and engagements but we love maternity sessions, senior sessions and family sessions too! I have begun transitioning into being a hybrid shooter(film + digital) for all our weddings and engagement sessions that it was only perfect and fitting to place all that gorgeousness onto a new and beautiful website! Film has become a new passion of mine as you will often see in our new journal section. I probably sound like a broken record when I talk about film, but it really is so timeless and not for the impatient. It has taught me to take my time to frame and tell my story with less shooting. I still love digital and it’s fast reliability, but film has my heart. I know its beauty will only take me places I could have never dreamt of!
How it was done is something I’m sure I cannot fit into a couple of sentences, but i’m going to try. First I’d like to give a huge thank you to our web and brand designer Brianna Venzke with Sail Away Creative who patiently put up with me for the last several months and brought my vision to life. She made every instant of the design process seamless. When designing my brand she gave me exactly what I envisioned even though I had no clue what that was…a handmade logo in calligraphy and watercolor. Who knew my name could look so beautiful?! There were days when she really put me to work writing up things here and there, those who know me definitely know this is hard, because I am no professional writer 🙂 but I got it done and she was always so helpful!
So what now? Well, feel free to browse around and leave us a comment telling us what you like the most about it! My favorite part really is the blog! This will now be my little happy corner, I hope you visit often! <3
