Marissa and Jason define fun-loving, adventurous, outdoorsy couples in love and this is everything I hope for when I photograph couples. I wish for laughter, and joy, engagement sessions outdoors, and down-to-earth brides with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is the both of them down to a T.

The day started with the groom and groomsmen in the small cabin towards the back of the property and Marissa laughing it up with the girls in the bridal suite. She hung her dress in the antique armoire next to her bridesmaids blush pink gowns.  She chose a classic down hairstyle, and embellished it with a stunning rose gold jeweled hair clip. Her gown was so flowy and I could tell before she even put it on, we were going to have lots of movement for the portraits! She had the sleeves custom made to fit the wedding gown and it made the dress all that more elegant!  The guys in the meantime, poured a bit of whiskey and laughed the waiting time away.

Five oaks Farm is known for it’s white barn, but more importantly for it’s gorgeous views and the stunning Oak tree that serves as the ceremony site. Their wedding day was sunny and not too cold for a fall wedding. They chose to do an intimate first look underneath the grand oak tree and talked for several minutes before the actual ceremony would even take place.  Couples who chose to do a first look always have more time for portraits, and as I always say…You even get to relax a little after ceremony too!

Five oaks has a white farmhouse interior allowing for so much natural light to pour in. The tables had lovely tones mauve pink and lilac linens and decor, keeping it classy and rustic. Guests were delighted with Cavalli’s Pizza which was made right outside of the venue. They also had gelato cones made for each guest right after the cake was cut!  The couples had a fun shoe game and laughed and danced the night away with their lovely family and friends.
