Sheena and Justin’s Wedding at The Grove in Aubrey Texas a few weeks ago is one I won’t soon forget. This wedding is one I had been looking forward to for a year. The cloudy day was perfect and set the tone for the gorgeous florals by Moss Floral. Every single one of those blooms was perfect.
Sheena and Justin define fun-loving, outdoorsy couples in love and this is everything I hope for when I photograph couples. I wish for laughter and joy, engagement sessions outdoors, and down-to-earth brides with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Sheena and Justin to a T!
We were lucky to be able to shoot their engagement session here at The Grove, but their wedding day was even more perfect!
The day started in the bridal suite and groom’s suite where the girls had hair and makeup done by Beauty by Yari and the guys hung out. Sheena was surrounded with so much love from her girls and her mother as they helped her get into her dress. I felt so much love that day. Justin seemed a little nervous and Sheena seemed excited and oh so happy as they waited to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. First looks are always so intimate and I like it when couples opt for this option like Sheena and Justin did on their day. Seeing them smile at each other the way they did was so sweet and . I knew the day was going to be that way for the rest of the day.
Having a first look allows to have extra time to do portraits, and in this case this is exactly what we did. We started with Bride and groom portraits and then finished up with Bridal party. This even allowed extra time to relax before the ceremony began.
I’ve never seen an Ceremony Arch decorated so beautifully with so many gorgeous and colorful flowers like I did that day. The rolling meadows of The Grove surrounded with the Texas Oaks sure did make for the perfect backdrop. After the ceremony we finished with more portraits of the bride and groom and then the party started!
Sheena and Justin, cheers to decades of love and happiness!
