Get ready for a very romantic, ethereal engagement session! Leah and Joe’s love story. I can’t say enough about how much I loved this engagement session in Dallas! One of the things I love most about being a Dallas and Fort Worth wedding photographer is that I get to meet some really amazing people. I get to create a beautiful set of images based on their love story and just watching my couples interact and be themselves. It is truly an honor to be chosen by them to capture all of the moments leading up to their wedding day. This, as simple as it sounds, is one of the biggest challenges for us holding the camera. It goes beyond simply documenting an event, it is more about learning how they are as human beings, paying attention to people and their relationships, trying to have a better understanding of emotions, how the person in front the camera feels, how we can translate all of that into one still image and it tell a story.
Getting my couples to trust me and feel comfortable around me is the one reason I love engagement sessions. I think this is one of key elements that allows for better portraits on the wedding day. I love building that trust. The trust that will allow me to make more honest portraits of my couples and how they are when they are together. I love my job!
We started this engagement session at Highland Park. Strolling and talking all through one of Dallas’ Finest Parks. We then took a 10 minute drive to one of my favorite spots in Deep Ellum. We walked some more chatting about their upcoming wedding at Brik in Fort Worth. Brik has a very industrial feel with white textured brick walls, two floors and an amazing rooftop view to Downtown Fort Worth. Deep Ellum was the perfect complement to her future wedding venue. Enjoy Leah and Joe’s very romantic and ethereal engagement session in Dallas Texas.
