The day began at Kingdom Hall in Dallas where they each began the day getting ready. Moments leading up to the ceremony were filled with laughter and joy and you can see the excitement in each of their faces. I remembered their engagement session just a few months back and seeing that same glimmer and happiness.
Winter weddings in Dallas are cold, but they can also be beautiful and Priscilla and Elihu’s wedding day was nothing short of just that. December 17th was the day a very cold front was going to blow in from the north around 5pm. We knew that taking their bride and groom portraits would have to be done quickly if we didn’t want to freeze at The Dallas Arboretum. The rustling of the trees and the cold wintery air was felt just as we finished the last few portraits. We were ready for the party over at Nuvo Room.
Stems of Dallas did a phenomenal job with all of the floral designs. You’ll see that for yourself! Having pops of color in the winter is fantastic and I highly recommend it. Mainly because in the winter unless you are shooting at a beautiful garden like the Arboretum then you rarely see any greenery or any other colors in the background. Her bouquet added that beautiful elegance and hints of color . When Priscilla described her wedding day at our consultation, she said she wanted an all white winter themed wedding and pops of red. I had no idea of what she meant by an all white wedding until stepped into Nuvo Room in Dallas that evening of December 17th. It really is a photographer’s dream and I can honestly say any bride’s dream too. You can honestly choose any color to go with your theme and it will be perfect. It’s now on one of my top wedding venues to shoot at in Dallas. I enjoyed capturing these precious memories for them. Real and Authentic memories. I’m excited for them as they begin their new life together and I feel truly honored they chose Alba Rose Photography.
This Nuvo Room Wedding in Dallas was one for the books and proof that winter weddings are fabulous too!
Stay tuned for Priscilla’s bridal session up next!
