A Modern Wedding at The Joule Hotel: Malik & Dayonna

I’m excited to share the modern wedding of Malik Hooker, safety for the Dallas Cowboys, and his stunning bride Dayonna, which was recently featured in Brides magazine. Held at the iconic Joule Hotel in Dallas, their wedding was a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and timeless romance. Every detail, from the ceremony in the round, grand flower tunnel, and wavy reception tables, to the heartfelt moments, captured the essence of a modern wedding at The Joule Hotel.

Contemporary Elegance Meets Timeless Romance

Dayonna envisioned a wedding that was both modern and elegant, and The Joule Hotel provided the ideal backdrop for their special day. Known for its sophisticated design and contemporary art, The Joule offered a stylish setting that perfectly complemented their black-tie affair. The hotel’s sleek, urban vibe added a layer of sophistication to their celebration, making it an unforgettable event.

 

A Ceremony Full of Emotion

The couple exchanged vows in one of The Joule’s stunning event spaces, surrounded by close family and friends. The modern decor, featuring lush florals and soft candlelight, created a romantic atmosphere that was both intimate and warm. The bride looked absolutely radiant in her first gown, while Malik was dashing in his classic tuxedo. Their ceremony was filled with emotion, reflecting the deep connection they share.

Fairytale Dinner Reception

A pink floral tunnel led guests to a flower-filled dining room; and turned a terrace space into a chic lounge for after-dinner dancing. Cream, lilac, and blush accented brighter pink hues for a finished palette that was bold, romantic, and elegant. Throughout the design, the couple incorporated cherry blossom accents—including a line of trees inside the reception area—in a nod to the bride’s Washington, D.C., roots. Serpentine tables with candlelight created such a warm ambiance for this intimate dinner with friends and family.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a luxurious reception on The Joule’s Terrace that highlighted the couple’s love for vibrant celebrations. The Joule’s talented culinary team curated a menu that delighted everyone, while the violinist and Dj kept the energy high throughout the night. From the couple’s first dance to the heartfelt speeches, the reception was a joyful celebration of love, surrounded by the modern elegance of The Joule Hotel.
