Destination Wedding Photographer | Dallas Engagement Session
A destination wedding can be the both easiest and most difficult way to have a wedding. It’s easy because you and your guests get to leave town and celebrate your wedding while on vacation. It’s difficult because you’re doing everything including organizing and hiring a photographer from afar.
Haley and Tyler will have their Destination Wedding In Florida, unfortunately she had already hired a wedding photographer for her day by the time she found me. I get to share with you their gorgeous and oh so stunning engagement portraits done in Dallas and be a little sad that I won’t be their wedding photographer. Aside from sharing their engagement session I’d also like to share just a few tips for those contemplating a destination wedding and why you should bring a destination wedding photographer with you. I think I’ll even elaborate on this in a different blog post later. First, their gorgeous engagement session. Her gorgeous dress and Hair will keep you wanting to see more. Tyler and Haley have been together for Three years and when I asked him how he proposed he said”She already knew it was coming”. and Haley smiled and said with a grin. “yes I knew!” Even that made me smile because I can tell just how much they love each other and how excited they are to be on the journey to marriage. Enjoy these beautiful portraits and Destination wedding tips and info for those who may need it!
Back to just a few and important reasons while deciding on taking a destination wedding photographer with you or choosing a resort photographer.
There is one thing that you will never forget and will stay with you always as you look back on the memories of your beautiful destination wedding: Your Photographs. Putting all of your time and effort into planning this beautiful destination wedding at the most fabulous and gorgeous place on earth will always only be reflected in your wedding photographer’s ability to bring that venue to life in your images.
When planning a destination wedding or elopement, You are envisioning the perfect place to say “I do” surrounded by your favorite people, your closest friends and family and you are going to want to have images that will mesmerize you just like the fantastic location you selected.
Bringing a wedding photographer of your choice will be the best decision you will make while planning your destination wedding and here’s just two great reasons why.
1. It is Possible to find the PERFECT wedding photographer for you.
When you decide to bring the photographer with you on your destination, you now have the option to pick and choose exactly who you want. From anywhere. Why I always say it’s best to pick one from where you currently live is this: you can have the engagement session, boudoir and even your bridal session all done locally by the same photographer. Most Photographer’s include these sessions within your package so you already are getting a perfect deal, and let’s not mention they’re all going to be cohesive.
2. Multi Day coverage To tell your entire Destination Wedding Story.
Most resort Photographers have weddings prior to and after your wedding. Bringing your own destination wedding photographer will allow you to have the option to have your story told from a day before for the rehearsal dinner and even after your wedding for an after day session. Doing your research for options on hiring them for multiple days may be the best decision yet! Some destination wedding photographers may have the day before and day after included in their destination wedding packages like we do and are happy to accommodate multi-day coverage to get you exactly what you’re looking for.
I could go on and on with more reasons to bring a destination wedding photographer with you, like why you get to build a relationship with your wedding photographer. It’s a very important reason and I’ll quickly tell you why. Countless times I’ve had a wedding where I never got to do an engagement session and this is the one reason why I almost always include a complimentary one anyway. It’s near the same with couples I don’t get to interact with than with he ones I do. Genuine images are captured better and I prefer it. I like getting to know my couples and know exactly what is important to them.
If you’re photographer is across the states or the world be sure to get to know them personally. Now it’s easier to do so just by Skype or even Google Hangouts.
While I’ve given just a little bit of information I hope that it was helpful. I’d love to answer any questions you may have or things you’ve experienced from planning your own destination wedding.
