Garden wedding and a lake front first look is what made Kaleigh and Will’s wedding like no other. February 25th, a sunny day. A little chilly, but a very gorgeous day. You could already see the spring blooms peeking out among the bare leaves on the trees. The day started at Kaleigh’s townhome. Bridesmaids laughed and got ready and Kaleigh as calm as could be enjoyed the moments that would lead up to walking over to see her handsome Will at the lake. Meanwhile Will, got ready at a nearby hotel. Guys always have more fun in the sense that I think they have less to worry about, more fun and less stress I think. 🙂 No curling hair, or putting on makeup, but they’re still as nervous as a guy can get. My favorite moment while Kaleigh finished getting ready was her opening Will’s gift. A cute little card that said “Let’s do all the things” and a dainty diamond necklace. Her smile said it all. Just a few more minutes for her to see Will.
The scene was set and Will waited at the end of the dock. The wind blew Kaleigh’s cathedral veil and as she walked her smile never diminished. I could see Will’s excitement and nervousness. A brief first look, but nothing short of emotional. His expression of wonder and love said it all.
Their day was surrounded by beautiful people who love them and laughter was the one thing I remember the most. Pure joy and happiness for these two souls in becoming one.
“Beneath the old magnolia tree I used to hold you close to me and there I carved upon that tree that I loved you and you loved me.” this beautiful quote by Louis Brown came to mind as they stood under the magnolia trees at St. Thomas Aquinas. At this church is where they would promise eternal love. Those little moments we were able to capture were some of my favorites.
The true festivities began at The Dallas Arboretum at the Rosine Hall. The glass windows with views to the most beautiful gardens in all of Dallas. Kristin with Haute Floral outdid herself with her amazing floral designs. The colors were Gold, white flowers and greenery. Simple and elegant will come to mind as you see the reception hall. First dances are always a favorite. Dancing, alma mater hymns, and laughter made the night memorable. The day ended with one last dance to “Angel” by Jack Johnson and off they went to their honeymoon with a trail of friends and family waving their goodbyes. This Dallas Arboretum wedding was so beautiful! Congratulations Kaleigh and Will. Wishing you many years of Love and Happiness!
