Are you ready for these Dallas Arboretum Bridal portraits of Joanna. I think so!
I don’t think there could have been a better backdrop to Joanna’s bridal portraits like The Dallas Arboretum. Her gorgeous blue eyes which sometimes also look green and her wedding dress were so beautiful. She’s a designer and In knew she had told me she was going to design her own wedding gown, but seeing it in person that day blew me away. I loved the simplicity of it and the special cuts that made the design so unique. My favorite part of her dress were the sleeves. I even mentioned to her that it reminded me something Princess Leia would wear. Which you’ll see later in her wedding gallery that it was made that way for a special reason.
The Dallas Arboretum has so many special nooks and hidden paths and it allows me to give each session something different. Don’t think for a minute that, each session or bridal portrait is the same. Many brides during consultation ask “why a bridal?”. I instantly respond with these facts. a special session about you, and it’s not just about the dress. It’s about the details. Most of these bridal sessions are a great gift to either mom and dad. You spent a great deal of time picking out THE DRESS, to only wear it once in your lifetime. Maybe twice if you can fit in it later and you want to do a special session with it years from now. Why not take an extra day to document it and give it extra love?! On the wedding day, time is rushed and if we’re lucky we’ll spend a few minutes taking some of you in the dress. Nothing compares to about 1-2 hours on a day well planned just for your bridal portraits. Oh and my favorite reason of all. You know that hair and makeup trial? Perfect time to see how you want to wear your hair and makeup on the day of your fabulous wedding. The shoes might not be as comfortable on your bridal portrait day but guess what? You can find some more comfortable shoes to wear with enough time to spare, thanks to trying them on for your bridal session.
Bridal portraits are probably the one thing I love photographing more than anything else. Seeing the bride get all emotional and giddy excited before her wedding is the best feeling in the world to me. I get to see the bride in the dress before anybody else. That makes me feel pretty special 🙂
Enjoy Joanna’s bridal portraits, I know you’ll love them!
