It was beautiful Spring afternoon at Avalon Legacy Ranch in Mckinney, Texas. The blooms of trees were already very noticeable and it seemed as though nature conspired to be a part of Halie’s wedding color palette. The bridesmaids were set to wear a mix-match of cranberry, blushes, and soft pinks, and seeing the dresses hang over the armoire in the bridal suite, I couldn’t help but feel a little giddy that this wedding had so many different elements. They incorporated Chance’s love for baseball and also showed her romantic side with a hint of rustic elegance. It fit all too well with Avalon Legacy Ranch.
Halie was finishing a letter for Chance as the bridesmaids chatted about things, already you could feel the excitement and emotions of the day. Chance talked and laughed with his groomsmen meanwhile in his suite. He already had his letter ready tucked into his coat pocket. In just a little while longer, they would have an intimate moment by themselves before the ceremony. It would be their first look, and exchange those sweet letters.
We would be able to maximize their portrait time, giving them so many options and still having extra time before hand for them to relax pre ceremony. Those who say first looks deter from getting emotional when walking down the aisle surely has not known Chance and Halie. The emotion was still just as wonderful as it was during their first look. They had a darling bubble exit during their ceremony and I loved it! I’m so used to most brides not doing anything in particular right after ceremony, that these bubbles were fantastic! Take note brides who marry outdoors, these little exits make all the difference! This should definitely be a trend for 2017!
Being a Dallas and Mckinney wedding photographer I see many exits, but they are usually held until the very end of the night, and well having a well lit exit with all natural light right after the recessional really is more romantic in my opinion.
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and even happy tears throughout the day! A room full of family and friends wishing them a beautiful marriage, and dancing all night long!
Halie and Chance we wish you a lifetime of happiness and love! It was an honor to celebrate your wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch!
