Anna + Josh

I have been looking forward to sharing Anna and Josh’s wedding since the moment I shot the images on their wedding day!  Does that make sense?! Maybe not, but I knew her wedding was going to be so beautiful and full of emotion and I’m so happy the day is finally here and I can share away!  Anna and Josh held their beautiful outdoor ceremony at Dimebox Ballroom in Georgetown, Texas on a gorgeous sunny day.  Anna had told me why she had picked that date of May 7th.  You see, her dad passed away several years ago and the fact that she could incorporate a little about him on that day would make it even more special.

Anna isn’t your traditional bride.  She picked a gorgeous blue slate wedding dress because she said she needed color in her life and boy did she have it! She wore Kate Spade Rose Gold Glitter Keds and not the traditional heels and made her wedding custom to her and Josh!  I have truly gotten to know Anna and can honestly say this has been one of the most wonderful weddings I have ever been a part of. She is such a genuinely kind and funny person and I’m so incredibly happy our paths crossed.  All of the details leading up to their wedding day are so incredible and it would take me another blog post to say them all, but I do want to say that below you will see a wonderfully made cake topper of two little bunnies.  I really want to give the creator of that Cake Topper a big shout out because it truly made Anna’s dream of having it come true.  She had seen one of those toppers about 10 years ago and they always stuck with her.  Months leading up to her wedding, she remembered that cute little cake topper and could no longer find the owner/creator.  But what Anna wants, Anna gets and low and behold all her searching online she found the artist.  She reached out and the woman who her name is Jennifer Murphy, and crossed fingers she still made them. after several messages later Anna learned that Jennifer no longer made the cake toppers as her designs took a different route after the years.  When Anna mentioned she was sad as she hoped she could get one for her upcoming wedding, Jennifer surprised her by making a little pair custom made just for her and Josh.  I couldn’t help but realize when Anna told me that, that her wedding would be so special.

We often travel for destination weddings since we are based out of Dallas and we absolutely love being known as an Austin Wedding photographer too now!  The Scenery in Georgetown was so beautiful and peaceful and the light that day was so glorious. It was especially fun to see the beer donkeys at Anna and Josh’s wedding.  I should mention that one of the donkey’s tried to eat Anna’s bouquet, which we happened to rescue just in time!
