Intimate wedding ceremony, micro wedding is the popular name lately for all things weddings. Before it was even a thing, I was already a super fan of intimate wedding ceremonies.
Lauren and Matt had an original wedding date in April of 2020. Then guess what ‘rona happened and all plans moved to September 2020. In a better effort to deal with the pandemic they have decided to postpone the wedding celebration for next year June 2021. All of this to say that they decided on getting married now with a classic intimate ceremony with only the closest of family in Matt’s parents home. The date they picked has actual special meaning since it is the official date of when they started dating years ago. All in all I think the universe has a weird way of making things work out. 🙂
Everything about this beautiful micro wedding speaks to me and I really enjoyed celebrating Lauren and Matt that October afternoon. She walked out in a beautiful grey gown hand and arm with her dad through the back door of Matt’s old childhood bedroom door. The vibrant reds, burgundy and soft peach tones of the florals stood out against the neutral dress. I especially loved Matt’s suit and tie. It somehow made it feel casual, yet colorful. After the ceremony the couple enjoyed a lovely dinner and cake with family in a cozy setting on the other side of the house. The tablescape had place cards uniquely made by the bride herself of a pretty teal and gold hand lettering.
I’m very much looking forward to their next celebration next year at The Hotel Anatole and seeing these two lovebirds again!
