This Dallas Engagement Photographer loves Portrait sessions at White Rock Lake. I loved spending time with Phylissia and Alton and being able to get to know them on a more personal level. It’s the one reason why I love my engagement sessions so much. We laughed and walked and enjoyed White Rock Lake’s beautiful scenery. The time I spend with my couples tells me so much and it makes it so much easier for me to tell their wedding story on a differrent level. I had the most amazing time hearing about how they met “online” and how he thought she was really pretty. How could he not? I mean her smile is so contagious! I loved the part about how she reminisced about when they talked he mentioned that no one knew how to pronounce his name and that she so confidently said “I do!”. It just so happens that her grandfather’s name was Alton and her Aunt’s name was Altonetta. She then said to me “I can’t help but think someone “up there” is looking out for me”. and that made my heart flutter. She talked about how her birthday is on Christmas day and that she almost always misses having her birthday celebrated by friends because they all spend with family. So what did Alton do, he planned a Christmas in July party on July 4th of this year and with close friends and family he handed her “The gift”. An engagement ring and here folks the story begins. They both have New Orleans backgrounds and it was only fitting he had a fleur-de-lis custom ring made. So many beautiful details and I cannot say enough how I love to hear and know of these small little things before the wedding. I leave below my version of a journey that is already well on it’s way to a beautiful marriage. It’s a true honor they chose me to document it!
